Schedule My TourDreams Come True
There’s no time like the present to try a new adventure, revisit memories, or bond with friends and family. Your dream may be big, or small. It may be riding a horse for the first time, attending a sporting event with grandkids, or revisiting a childhood home.
Your dreams are important to us because they are important to you. They are what make you unique.
Our signature Dare To Dream program recognizes the special hopes and aspirations of our residents–and then makes them a reality! We aim to make at least one resident’s dream come true each month in our community.

Stories From Our Community
Laurie
Our Community Relations Coordinator, Anne Alms hosted a Ladies Night Out on behalf of the Brown Deer Living magazine last August 13th. Anne took one of their Independent Living residents, Laurie Miller to join them for a night filled with getting to know new faces and learning more about the community.
The night out started at 5:25PM when Anne picked Laurie up at Brown Deer Place and took her to their house where all the other ladies met up. On the way to Anne’s house, they passed by Brown Deer golf course and Laurie just loved the sight of greenery and fresh air. “There’s not a lot of these views in Manhattan”, which is where she moved from.
When they reached Anne’s house, the limousine was already waiting in their driveway, with the 5 other ladies who live in the neighborhood. All ladies were introduced to each other while inside the limo, there was wine and drinks available for the ladies to drink. First stop was Randy’s Flooring where Laurie learned about the shop’s products and services; Laurie had a blast talking with staff while exploring all kinds of carpets, hardwood floors, vinyl and such. Second stop was Fine Lines Gift Shop. Laurie enjoyed this shop so much as she recollected some work of arts that she did back in New York. Laurie was given a goodie bag with a scented candle from the store. Finally, the ladies capped the night of with a nice dinner at Divots, a bar-restaurant located at the Brown Deer golf course. The ladies were served all the restaurant’s best seller! Laurie had so much fun getting to know the ladies in the neighborhood. She thanked Brown Deer Living magazine, Anne Alms (for hosting) and the other ladies she met that night. “This is really nice and I had a great time going out with all of you. Thank you so much for a great time!”
Laurie was dropped by the same limousine back to Brown Deer Place as the ladies night out reached its end.

Our manager, Tanner went with him for a full day of fun hunting for the most-sought after Morels! What a great opportunity to get to know Doug on a deeper level ❤️

Sue
Meet Sue.
Sue has been blind her whole life, but one of her passions has always been music. She was in many choirs in her life and often went to operas and musicals for entertainment.
Our Life Enrichment Coordinator, Sky, got tickets for The Sound of the Music at the Coralville Center for Performing Arts and took Sue for her Dare to Dream. Sue lit up when we told her we had gotten her tickets and smiled throughout the entire performance. She even sang along when she knew the words! After the performance was over, we took Sue out to her favorite restaurant, Olive Garden. On our way back, Sue said this was a great day and couldn’t wait to tell everyone about it when we got home!
