Jaybird Senior Living, in partnership with CareTrust REIT, is pleased to announce the acquisition of two communities in North Carolina, now known as The Indigo at New Bern and The Indigo at Pikeville, effective January 1, 2025.
This strategic expansion to a new market reinforces Jaybird Senior Living’s commitment to delivering exceptional senior care and innovative living solutions across the country. The addition of these two North Carolina communities builds on the successful partnership between Jaybird Senior Living and CareTrust REIT. This continued collaboration aligns with Jaybird’s mission to create extraordinary living environments where seniors receive the high-quality, personalized care they deserve.
The newly designated Indigo name reflects the communities’ unique blend of tranquility and depth. Just as the color indigo evokes a sense of calm and serenity, these communities offer a peaceful and nurturing environment for residents. The communities will launch a renewed approach to dementia care, grounded in the Montessori principles of independence, dignity, and personalized care, tailored to the unique needs of each resident.
